IULI Students Participate in CIFP 2019

On 30 November 2019, the International Relations and International Business Administration students and the Head of the International Relations Study Program of IULI, Ms. Astrid Wiriadidjaja, were invited to participate in a conference on Indonesian Foreign Policy at The Kasablanka Hall, Kota Kasablanka mall. The annual event is organized by the Foreign Policy Community of Indonesia (CIFP). It is the country’s biggest conference about diplomacy, and also happens to be the world’s largest foreign policy conference.
This year’s theme was “Cooling Off The Hot Peace: Strategic Opportunities and Economic Remedies for a Distressful World,” focusing on the re-emergence of geo-strategic rivalries, mistrust, disruption, and brinkmanship in today’s world affairs — hence the “hot peace”, which represents the most serious challenge for world peace.
The goal of this conference was to encourage participants to recognise this serious problem and to think hard about the strategic and economic opportunities that could transform the condition of “hot peace” into a more stable, durable, and cooperative world.
The conference was attended by high-level speakers from various organisations, including Dino Patti Djalal, H.E Retno Marsudi, H.E Dr. Marty Natalegawa and many more.
