SRH Fernhochschule Riedlingen starts new and unique MBA 4.0 program in cooperation with IULI

On Thursday 10 June 2021, International University Liaison Indonesia (IULI) and SRH Fernhochschule Riedlingen joined together in an online meeting to sign the contracts for a new and worldwide unique Master program. The Master of Business Administration 4.0 (MBA 4.0) combines a classical MBA with modern Industry 4.0 topics. It is based on the idea of the IULI founder and Chairman of the IULI foundations board of trustee Dr.-Ing Ilham Akbar Habibie, MBA who states that business administrators not only have to know the business processes but also the technological aspects. For this they also need to have the knowledge about the technologies used in the 4th industrial revolution.

The program is executed online so that students will be able to study from home for one year, which will allow them to save travel and accommodation costs. The language of instruction is English, so there is no German language certificate required; however, if they do want to learn German, they can take German classes online at SRH or they can also take them at IULI.

This program includes 6 modules that will be followed by a masters-thesis. SRH teaches MBA modules. IULI teaches Industry 4.0 modules. The lectures are also held at convenient times for students that are already working, so that they do not have to quit their jobs. Classes are held at 07:00-09:00 PM (Indonesian Time), with flexible online courses that allow students to progress at their own pace and schedule. The requirements for this program are a bachelor degree of any field and a one-year work experience (internship also counts).

The Study Period will be a minimum of 12 months and a maximum of 24 months. The enrolment dates are on January, April, July, October, each year. The event started with a warm welcome by Prof. Dr. Ottmar Schneck, who is representing SRH Fernhochschule Riedlingen – Germany’s premier distance learning university, which is permanently government-accredited and number ONE in student satisfaction in Germany in the years 2019, 2020 and 2021. Other participants from SRH: Managing Director of SRH Fernhochschule GmbH, Prof. Dr. Michael Koch, CFA, Professor of Economics & Sustainability and Head of International Affairs, Christian Beditsch, Head of International Office, Eva Schmidberger, Resort Manager and Student Service, Jessica Kruse, International Office and Prof. Dr. Stefan Müller, Professor for Industrial Engineering and Digitalization.

Present at this event from the IULI foundation, was the Founder and Chairman of Board of Trustees, Dr.-Ing Ilham Akbar Habibie, MBA, who gave a welcoming speech. Also, present were IULI Board of Trustees member, Prof. Peter Scharff, IULI Founder and IULI Co-Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Peter Pscheid and Head of IULI Board of Management, Dr.-Ing. Surjatin Wiriadidjaja.

In addition, present from the university were the Rector of IULI, Dr. Ir. Tutuko Prajogo MSMfgE, Vice Rector for Academics and Dean of Life Sciences Faculty, Tutun Nugraha, Ph.D., Vice Rector for International Affairs, Marketing & Sales, Dr.-Ing. Sven Rost, Dean of Business and Social Sciences Faculty, Dr. Samuel P. D. Anantadjaya,Dean of Engineering Faculty, Dr. Ir. Prianggada Indra Tanaya, MME., Director of Marketing, Admissions & PR, Mr. Zaky Rahim,Head of International Office, Ms. Ambar Ferianti. Also, present were Heads of Study Programs and Staff.

In his welcoming speech, the rector of IULI, Dr. Ir. Tutuko Prajogo MSMfgE, addressed the importance of joint international collaboration, which is what the name International University Liaison Indonesia stands for. IULI, was from the beginning conceived as a university that will have many international cooperation. IULI stands as an international Liaison to partner universities in Europe and Asia, with the aim to establish a global faculty, participation in joint seminars, international research and publications. This opens up the door to a wide range of further academic studies that will also create better job opportunities for the graduates in the future. IULI hopes to further develop and enhance this cooperation to equip Indonesian students with added value as they expand their horizon through international scientific experience, and also global networking and international exposure, which now has been proven can also be done virtually.
